One-to-one music tuition for all ages and abilities in Dublin 12
Our team has been catering for all ages and teaching all styles in piano, drums, voice, guitar, keyboard, saxophone, violin & fiddle. Absolute beginners to advanced.
Our aim is to provide a thorough and comprehensive music education on a one-to-one basis, in a very friendly atmosphere.
The school is young and vibrant with a 'fun' attitude. Our belief is that lessons should be enjoyed by students and teachers alike. This is achieved by working with students of all ages in the genre/style of music they like and are interested in.
So if you are into rock or pop, jazz or boogie, musicals or classical or just want to learn music for fun, we don't see why you can't learn through that avenue. Exams can be taken through RIAM, ABRSM, RSL or other, but remember... whether you take exams or not, THE CHOICE IS ENTIRELY YOURS :-)
Hi and welcome to our site - Let's meet the owners :-) We are Michael and Paul Heffernan and teaching music is our business since 1992. We established Melody School of Music on Whitehall Road West, where over the past 32 years countless students of all ages have enjoyed studying music with our teachers.
IN FACT!... TWO of our previous students have joined our teaching staff over the last few years, while many other students have gone on to teach elsewhere, compose and tour, playing at festivals at home and abroad. Living in the area has meant that we are also much involved in local activities.
We cater for all ages and all levels. Free parking available.
Michael has been a musician all his life, playing his first professional gig at the age of 12. He has worked with numerous pop and rock bands touring both Ireland, The UK and The Middle East. He has over 30 years experience recording, performing and writing.
Michael is a full-time teaching & gigging musician.
Paul studied voice under the tutelage of Frank Merriman before going on to open his own school in 1992. Since then, his students have had success in singing, movies & theatre in Dublin and London's West End and his studio work and recordings with students has proved an invaluable learning tool.
Paul's CD release 'About Time' was very well received. Paul performs regularly both in Ireland and internationally playing Guitar and Saxophone.
Paul is a full time music teacher and through his performances with students, has supported several charities including Debra Ireland, The Irish Hospice foundation and The Children's Hospital Crumlin.
